Peanut Butter Football Dip

Hi everyone! To kick off this week's Super Bowl Special I have an awesome recipe for YOU! This recipe is easy, quick, and really delicious too. Sunday is the Super Bowl! It's always a big deal in my family. If we go to someone's house or if we stay home with a lot of family (And a lot of boys screaming at the t.v. ..) there's always a lot of food! I used to be on the lookout for a fun football themed recipe to make that day. Then I stumbled upon this little beauty and made it my own. So are you ready to amaze your friends and family with this dip that really looks like a football? Ok then, let's get started!

Here's what you'll need:

-1 cup of peanut butter
-1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar
-4 ounces of cream cheese, softened
-1/4 cup of butter, softened
-1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
-about 1/2 cup of m&m's (it really just depends how much you want)
-chocolate chips and/or chocolate sprinkles for the outside of the football
-white icing or marshmallow fluff for the laces

Directions:

1. Soften cream cheese and melt butter in microwave.
2. Mix the melted butter, cream cheese, and peanut butter together in mixer.
3. Mix in vanilla
4. Add the powdered sugar in a 1/2 cup at a time until combined. For a stiffer dip to be able to shape the football better, add in an extra 1/4 to 1/2 cup of powdered sugar now.
5. Mix in m&m's (be careful not to over mix so the m&m's don't break and crumble)
6. Put some waxed paper onto the serving plate. Put the dip on the plate little by little shaping the football as you go. I like to use a small spatula for this.
7. Once you have your football shape you can start covering the outside in chocolate. Place your chocolate chips and/or the sprinkles on until your football is covered. Remember to press them into the football to make sure they don't come off.
8. Now put some icing or marshmallow fluff in a ziplock bag and cut the corner off. Cut off only a VERY small part or else the lines will be too big. Now squeeze the bag and draw on the laces. Cut the waxed paper off around the football. Put the dip in the fridge until you're ready to serve. Then to finish it off, serve with pretzels and enjoy!

Now wasn't that easy? I'd love to know how your dip turned out! Let me know in the comments below. I hope you had a "ball" making it! Haha.
(I just couldn't help myself!) That's all for today's Tuesday Treats. Thanks for joining me. Be sure to check out all the other awesome blogger's posts!
